Innerdance is a transformative healing practice that uses vibratory soundscapes to shift your brainwave states from the active, stress-induced Beta state to the more expansive and healing Theta state, similar to the REM phase of sleep where our bodies start dreaming. Why Do Our Bodies Move, Shake or Twitch During The Innerdance segment?
The trembling, shaking, and other spontaneous movements that you might experience during an Innerdance session are your body’s natural way of releasing stored tension, trauma, and energy.
Just like how animals instinctively shake off stress after a dangerous encounter, your body also knows how to release built-up energy through these movements. However, we have been so conditioned to suppress these natural responses due to societal or cultural norms. This leads to energy being stuck in the nervous system which has no outlet to find completion or expression.
During Innerdance, as you enter a deeply relaxed state, your body is given the space and permission to express these long-held impulses, facilitating deep healing and emotional release.
